Rolling stock statistics cover the number of railway vehicles belonging to Austrian railway undertakings and integrated railway undertakings. Data is collected by Schienen Control GmbH (reference date: 31 December) and transmitted to Statistics Austria. A distinction is made between locomotives, tractive vehicles (railcars and trainsets), freight wagons and passenger wagons and their various forms. Rolling stock results are published annually.
