Part-time rate – women

On the topic of Gender statistics, the section on employment provides information on the employment rate and part-time rate for women and men according to the international concept (ILO). These key figures enable analyses of the development of labour force participation as well as part-time employment by gender from 1994 onwards.

In addition, results are available on the reasons for part-time work, the structure of the labour market by economic activity (ÖNACE) or occupation by highest level of education. The data thus provide information on the distribution of women and men by economic sector (horizontal segregation) or the proportion of women in leadership positions (vertical segregation). The results are based on the data from the Austrian microcensus labour force survey.

Further information can be found on our website under Labour market.
