Description

Statistics Austria provides data on the teaching staff of educational institutions in Austria, covering public and private schools as well as higher education (public and private universities, universities of applied sciences, university colleges of teacher education).

The legal basis is the Education Documentation Act (Bildungsdokumentationsgesetz 2020 – BilDokG 2020). Statistical analyses can differentiate along the following dimensions: headcount or full-time equivalents, sex, age, region, school type and type of university, respectively as well as other staff characteristics. Sources are statistics about schools and universities, data of Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research and Federal Ministry of Agriculutre, Regions and Tourism data collection in private schools.
