Description

The regulation (EC) 1552/2005 has created a legal act for the European Survey on continuing vocational training (CVTS) which is compulsory for all EU member states. CVTS is a sample survey among enterprises that is designed in 5-year cycles. The sixth survey (CVTS6) is currently being carried out. Results are available up to the fifth survey (CVTS5).

The focus of the survey lies in the recording of internal continuing vocational training courses, whereby the focus of interest is on the numbers of participants, the number of course hours and the costs incurred by the company.

The CVTS covers enterprises with at least ten employees in the manufacturing and service sector (NACE sectors B to N as well as R and S). The target population in Austria consists of around 40,000 enterprises with, altogether.
