Description

The main status of the population in private households (main residence in Austria) follows the subsistence concept or self-assignment. Here, persons are assigned to different social groups: employed, unemployed, in retirement, permanently disabled persons, in education, housekeeping, conscripts and people in community service or other.

The main activity of the population can be presented by gender, age, nationality, education and regional characteristics, among others. In addition, time series are offered. The results come from the Austrian microcensus labour force survey (sample survey). The Register-based Labour Market Statistics (administrative data reconciliation) provides detailed regional results for selected groups.
